Q. Does the library have laptops available for check out?

Yes. Laptops, both Macs and PCs, are available for check out only to UNI students. Short-term laptops can be checked out at the Library Services Desk for 3 hours.

We also have a very small collection of laptops, Chromebooks, and tablets that check out to students for longer time periods (1-2 weeks), depending on the device.

• Long Term Student Tablet (1-week checkout; both Microsoft Surface tablets with stylus and Dell Latitudes available)

HNI Corp. IRTS: (located on main floor of Schindler Education Center)

• Long-term Windows laptop (3-day checkout with one 3-day renewal)
• Long-term Mac laptop (3-day checkout with one 3-day renewal)

Long-term laptop checkouts are very popular and there may be a waiting list. To get on the waiting list (place a hold), use the Sign In link in the yellow bar to log in to your library account, and click on the Request button.  A laptop will be placed on hold for you. You will be notified by email when one is available and ready for pick up.
