The University Archives, located on the 3rd floor of Rod Library, has an extensive collection of information on the history of the university. The Special Collections and University Archives area is open from 8:00-4:00 Monday-Friday. Much information about UNI history can also be found on the Special Collection website. Rod Library's Digital Collections site is another good place to find historical publications of UNI, including the Old Gold yearbook in digital form. The Index UNI database can be used to find articles in the student newspaper, The Northern Iowan, and its predecessors, along with several other university publications.
